Earthlike Planet Found, A Very Hot 'Earth

As scientists continue to search for habitable planets and worlds, they continue to make discoveries - including a new earth-like planet. Scientists are claiming they have found the smallest terrestrial planet ever found outside of the solar system - and it's similar to earth! While it may be earthlike, the planet is extremely hot and could be covered in lava or water vapor - and it's only less than half the size of the earth. Not only does the planet have similar characteristics of the earth, but it also orbits a star that's similar to the sun. The planet is called an exoplanets, and 330 have been discovered so far.

Most exoplanets are similar to Jupiter in that they are gas planets, but the earthlike planet discovered is similar to earth and is even made up of a rocky surface.

The only problem? The temperature is between 1000 and 1500°C.
