Mr Tsolakis Speech
The Edessa waterfallI just have to share with you this special day. It was yesterday but who cares?
Do you remember my 2008 list with all the good/bad facts from the last year? Well one of the good facts was that I entered a short story contest. So the results are out!!!!
A week ago, the president of ''Edessa Booklovers'', a club in Edessa, called me an told me that my story was selected with three other for the finals.
Let me explain:
This contest started as small one but in the end, the judgers had to select from a lot of stories, from many writers including 4 from Cyprus, 1 from Germany and 1 from England.
So, they choosed, 6 stories writen from adults.
6 of them were given a prize. Then, the choosed 3 stories writen from teenagers, including me!!
But the difference is that all the teenager stories were given the same prize.(there wasn't first, second etc like with the adults). And I was one of these 3 teens!!!
The ceremony included a speech from Mr Tsolakis, professor at the university of Thessaloniki. Did you know that ''A'' comes from ''alef'' . Did you notice that if you rotate the letter by 180 degrees, you'll see an ox head? It was REALLY interesting!

And Edessa is such a beautiful city...
I will never forget this! It was such an awesome experience...
