Four days after my amazing vacation in Skiathos, and cannot forget the place! Why? I will explain ya...

Let's start with the ACCOMODATION, shall we?

We stayed at Skiathos Club Hotel, a four(****) star hotel. Built up in the mountains, the best view available can be seen from its rooms! Don't worry, you won't need a 4x4! It's not really far away from the city(about 10 min), but unfortunatelly, you will have to use your car(or rent one), as the nearest bus stop is not close. But if you don't like driving, you can always, use the hotel minibus!

PROS: amazing view, nice food, friendly natural enviroment, swimming pool with pool bar, large rooms, renovated in 2008,

CONS: A lot of bees, would apreciate a few more things to eat at breakfast, rooms built at ground floor are near the parking and the breakfast room, while opening the windows when naked will make anyone burst into laughing, as the windows of these rooms is infront the parking path-no privacy, no available space for laundry

Αs far as the view is concerned, this is what my mother and me saw on Tuesday...

Fire in Scopelos(another island)!! Here we go again! Stop putting trees on fire, you fucking arsonists!!! Forutnatelly, the arsonists were filmed by a tourist and were arrested!

WHERE TO EAT:

Ellados geuseis(Papadiamanti street), Big Bad Wolf(near Koukounaries Beach), To Bakaliko(Clubs area, don't know the street name). Don't forget that Skiathos has a lot of restaurants, pubs and bistros! Moreover, it's called the queen of nightlife and I believe it is! Dance and drink at Kahlua Club, or BBC club(avoid My House) or enjoy the moonshine at Rock N' Roll Bar(Old Port Area). A Chinese restaurant(The Garden of East) is also available and ofcourse, lots of

pasterias(as Skiathos is one of Italian's favourite destination's, especially in August)

WHERE TO SHOP: Well Papadiamanti Street is the biggest pathway in the island. Souvenirs, decorations, clothes, traditional sweets, you can find whatever you want here!

WHAT TO SEE: Panagia Evagelistria Monastery- You can reach the monastery by car, or by using the public transport. There, you can admire the church, where a miraculous Madonna picture is. Miraculous? Yes, as it is said that when someone tried to destroy the picture, blood was spilled at Madonna's left cheek. You can also visit the museum, which is really informative and interesting!

Papadiamantis house: Alexander Papadiamantis is one of the most important short story writer in greece( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alexandros_Papadiamantis)

WHERE TO SWIM: Well, one beach is the best! You don't have to visit any other, when you visit Koukounaries! The plave look like a tropical beach. Sunbeds are available(2 SUNBEDS+UMBRELLA= 8 EUROS), so you don't have to carry your own. Don't forget to try the crazy ufo!!! It is a ''sofa'', pulled by a boat, atg ridiculously fast speeds!!

Vromolimnos, Vasilias, Tsiougras island near Skiathos or Banana(naked only beach)are some good alternatives...

So, that's all guys! Are you a youngster who want to drink and dance all night with your friends? Or a family man who needs to relax? Don't worry, Skiathos can satisfy any kind of tourist!!!!
