Keith Richards Working With Jack White
White Stripes and Dead Weather member Jack White has been writing songs with Rolling Stones guitarist Keith Richards, according to RollingStone.com. While White has not commented on the collaboration, Richards said, "I enjoy working with Jack. We've done a couple of tracks." Richards did not elaborate further on the end result or when the public might hear them, but when asked whether White might produce the next Stones album, the guitarist said, "I couldn't fuel that rumor any more than to say Jack and I are in touch."
White produced country legend Loretta Lynn's 2004 album, Van Lear Rose, to great critical acclaim.
White has been on the road all summer with the Dead Weather, whose debut album Horehound came out in July through his Third Man Records label. The band begins a new North American trek on October 2nd in Atlanta.
White has also mentioned that a new White Stripes album could be out by early next year.
Richards says he is "trying to gather the boys together" to make a new Rolling Stones album.
