Former Judas Priest frontman Rob Halford is set to release a Christmas album.
Called Halford III: Winter Songs, the album will be put out by the singer's own Metal Gods label. Halford has reportedly been working on the album for 2 years.
The tracklist will include rewritten versions of classic Christmas songs, like "Come All Ye Faithful" and "Oh Holy Night." There will also be new material. No tracklist has been revealed, but the first single, "Get Into The Spirit" is set to be released September 29.
"The Halford band has assembled a fantastic release, and we're excited to have produced a collection of holiday tracks which all of us have enjoyed from an early age," Halford said of the album.
Halford had been expected to release his next record, a live album taken from his Crucible World Tour, in March.
