HOTEL
Name: Eden Beach Hotel
Place: Anavissos, 40km away from Athens
Pros: Luxurious, with great facilities including tennis courts, internet wi-fi, private beach, vault, events, tasty food, beautiful scenery, parking lot and more
Cons: Really far away from Athens and the mass transit is really slow and crowded, maybe a bit more variety at meals, especially dinner, expensive prizes if you decide to visit Anavissos or Palia Fokea for eating.(generally Athens taverns can be VERY expensive, especially compared to Thessaloniki's)
Well, I can't think any other pros/cons at the moment but If I think, I will post them at the final article. Hmm, I've found another one. But it has to do with my parents! They were snoring so loud I coudn't sleep! My Playstation Portable was a bless for someone who spends his nights awake!
DAY 1:
Lots of driving. 500 km +(Thessaloniki- Anavissos) is not short! My father was exhausted!!! And the huge traffic jam in Thessaloniki didn't allow us to exit the city as soon a s possible.
DAY 2: Visited Athens. I had been in Athens three years ago too, so there weren't many exhibits to see. But I visited Zappio and the national garden park. Furthermore, my mother visited a lawyer's office for a personal case, but everything was fine!! Finally, I have to say I was really impressed by the subway and I can clearly see how it helps! Taxi drivers say their fares were reduced by 50% when the subway lines were ready. We really need a subway in Thessaloniki!!! Hope it's ready soon!

DAY3- Eleftherios Venizelos Airport and Attica Zoo. I have one phrase to say:'' Thessaloniki is a village, as far the airport and the zoo are concerned!''
At the airport, we had the chance to see people from all over the world(even an Arabian with an orange turban), have a burger at McDonald's and watch the airfield or visit the Duty-Free shops. There is even a small church built in the main building so that the passengers can pray before risking their lives at the air!
The zoo was also splenid. With hundred species of birds and animals(there were so many I can't remember everything I saw), info about their origin, their nutrition and if they are endagered or not, how can't you have fun and learn something? My favourites were the gorillas(watch video), the monkeys, the camels, the bears, the giraffes and some of the birds.
DAY 4: Back in Athens. Visited the legendary new Acropolis museum, which was the cause of a whole world demand: Marbles back in Greece! As a Greek, I felt extremely touched by our art. It's a must see museum in my opinion. The ticket prize is only one euro! After the exhausting, to tell you the truth, visit, me and my mother went on a tour with a double decker bus, equipped with headphones and guiding in 8 languages, while my father visited Ermou street, the most expensive street in Europe, as far as shop and office rent prizes are concerned! On the bus ,the view cannot be described with words!
Day5-Went to Sounio, at the Posidon temple, where the only thinγ inserted between you and the sunset is the deep blue Agean Sea. Also, wear my swimming suit and swam at a beach near the hotel.
Day6- Visited Peraias, the place where the Athens port is. Then, we walked down Ermou street again(all together this time), had a sandiwich at Thisseio(really expensive), and bought a Bermuda bathing suit for me at Monastiraki! When back at our room, we started packing out clothes and slept early. Next day was Sunday the 28th, the day we had to check-out! Snif! After 6.5hours of driving, we were back in Thesaloniki
Summary
I had a really good time this year too. My parents are doing their best to give some good vacation and I apreciate it! I don't mind going on vacation with them, as I think it's quite early to do it with friends. Athens is a modern metropolis that made me love it. But the truth is people are more indifferent there. Lots of crime is something common there too. And all in all, Thessaloniki is my home and nothing can change that...
