It seems like Metallica has been on the road for ever in support of last year’s Death Magnetic — oh, that’s right, they have! So, it’s not surprising to hear that the band is gearing up for the release of a live concert DVD. What is surprising is that the DVD, which will feature footage of Metallica’s upcoming concert in Nîmes, France on July 7th, will be available only through your favorite French music stores…

s, including Metallica.com — did I scare you for a second? The yet-to-be-titled DVD will hit these outlets on October 19th. No word on any other details, though if you’d like to be featured, head to metallica.wormee.com and maybe, just maybe you’ll get your opportunity.
A similar release featuring footage of the band’s three-night stint in Mexico earlier this month is also in the works, and with a slew of tour dates still forthcoming, plenty more recording opportunities will be available.
